If you are a celebrity then being on the front page of a magazine, ultimately means that you have made it in life. However, being on the front page, may not always be a good thing. If you are in the news for something that is considered to be gossip, then it is not a good thing to be on the front page of every magazine in the local shop, however, if you are choosing to do a photo shoot for a top/classy magazine
then, the front page is where you ultimately want to end up. Many celebrities will let you into their homes and have themselves pictured on products such as Zoeppritz blankets (Zoeppritz) and other such bedding products. Weddings are usually big business in the magazine world and magazines such as OK and Hello will pay celebrities to be photographed on their wedding day, with celebrities offering the magazines exclusive access to their big day.

People want to read about what is happening in the celebrity world. It often takes focus off of reality. Before any magazine is printed it is usually down to the celebrities and their managers as to what photo’s are published in the magazine. There have been a few incidents over the years, where celebrities have not approved of what photo’s have gone out within the magazines, there was a well known incident which involved two celebrities eating a chocolate bar on their wedding day, which caused a bit of a stir. Magazine photo shoots can take time and getting them right is important, both for the magazine and the celebrity involved in the photo shoot. There is no doubt that celebrities sell magazines, but it is often the picture which is captured which sells the magazine and not the occasion.
